AWARD’S GUIDING PURPOSE
The Harold & Carole Pump Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to providing financial assistance to organizations and individuals facing economic challenges. Through grants, scholarships, donations, and community support initiatives, the Foundation aims to ease financial burdens and create opportunities for growth and stability.
By partnering and supporting local organizations and individuals in times of need, the Pump Foundation works to strengthen communities, promote self-sufficiency and make a meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of those we serve.
- SECTION ONE
ELIGIBILITY & SELECTION CRITERIA
1. ALIGNMENT WITH FOUNDATION MISSION
Strong alignment with the Pump Foundation’s mission and values of collaboration, building relationships, integrity, accountability and strategic priorities
2. ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY
- Registered 501(c)(3) organization
- Proven track record of effective program delivery
- Sound leadership and governance structure
- Financial transparency and responsible fiscal management
3. FINANCIAL NEED AND USE OF FUNDS
- Clear evidence of financial need or funding gap
- Explanation of how the award will directly address a critical challenge or opportunity
- Specific plan on how the funding will be used (program costs, operational support, equipment and materials, staffing, scholarships, etc.)
NOTE: Proposals are for one (1) year periods. Ineligible proposals include those for unrestricted general operating support, event sponsorships, lobbying or political campaigns
4. COMMUNITY NEED & IMPACT
- Number of individuals or groups who will benefit
- What type of population will the funding support (underserved, vulnerable, seniors, children, etc.)
5. SUSTAINABILITY & LONG-TERM BENEFIT
- Plan for sustaining impact beyond the initial award period
- Potential for growth, replication, or continued funding
6. INNOVATION & LEADERSHIP
- Creative or innovative approach to solving a need or problem
- Demonstrated leadership and commitment to positive change
7. ACOUNTABILITY & REPORTING
- Clear and concise goals, measurable outcomes, thoughtful timelines, and evaluation methods
- Agreement to provide progress and financial reports at the six (6) month and twelve (12) month periods

AWARD INFORMATION
AWARD INFORMATION:
- Two (2) $100,000 awards, two (2) $50,000 awards and eight (8) $25,000 awards.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
- All candidates must meet the requirements under Section 1, Eligibility & Selection Criteria
- Complete the application form
TIMELINE:
- Open enrollment is May 1st, 2026 – July 24th, 2026.
- Completed applications are due to the Foundation office by Friday, July 24th, by 5:00pm.
AWARD(S) ANNOUNCEMENT:
- Award recipients will be notified by Friday, August 7th, 2026.
